Police implement rolling block on M6 to stop drink driver in lorry

Police put rolling blocks in place to cease a HGV that was inflicting issues on the M6.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary reported the incident at round 11.40pm final evening (April 7).

The lorry was stopped safely close to Preston with the motive force finally revealed to be almost 3 times the drink drive restrict, police stated.

A spokesperson for police stated: “Stopping a 44 ton HGV might be tough on the motorway. Making an attempt to cease one on the M6 close to Preston with a driver almost 3 times the drink drive restrict is a problem.

“Calm ways acquired it stopped safely with out harm or harm. Apologies in the event you have been held within the rolling block.”
