Man rushed to hospital after serious crash in Fulwood

A person has been taken to hospital after a crash in Fulwood, police have confirmed.

Police had been known as to the scene of a crash on Garstang Street at round 8.40am this morning (March 1). Lancashire Fireplace & Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service additionally attended the scene.

The incident concerned a single automobile, which collided with a lamp put up. The motive force was taken to hospital in consequence after being handled on the scene.

Garstang Street was closed in each instructions near the junction with Lightfoot Lane in consequence and there was extreme congestion on each Garstang Street and the M55 in consequence.

Garstang Street has since reopened in each instructions.
