Driver tracked down by police dogs after smashing through roundabout and fleeing

A driver crashed his automotive and fled the scene solely to be tracked down and arrested by police.

The motive force ‘didn’t see’ the roundabout on Edith Rigby Method close to the slip street for junction 2 of the M55 and continued straight over, onto the grass and into the site visitors limitations.

The motive force left the automobile by the roundabout on the Preston Western Distributor and fled on foot however was chased by officers from Lancashire Police’s canine unit. He was arrested after testing optimistic for alcohol and medicines.

The incident was reported at 6.30am this morning (March 18) by Lancashire Street Police.

A spokesperson for police stated: “The motive force of this automobile didn’t see the roundabout and continued straight on, leading to a collision.

“The motive force didn’t wish to hold round and obtained off.

“Dedication paid off after he was tracked by Lancashire Police canine unit and arrested optimistic drink and medicines.”
