COLUMBUS, Ohio (TCD) — A 44-year-old mom was arrested this week for allegedly taking pictures and killing her son after making an attempt to stab him.
On Feb. 19, at 1:45 p.m. Columbus Division of Law enforcement officials responded to a taking pictures name on the 2800 block of Drew Heights Place and located Jahaad Hughes unresponsive on the bottom after they arrived. Medics transported Hughes to a close-by hospital, the place he died from his accidents. He was pronounced useless at 3:03 p.m.
Columbus Police stated they “instantly” took Hughes’ mom, Laquandra Williams, into custody on suspicion of homicide. The taking pictures is believed to have stemmed from a home dispute.
In accordance with court docket paperwork cited by WBNS-TV, earlier than the taking pictures, Williams allegedly tried to stab her son, however witnesses intervened. Hughes reportedly grabbed the knife from her.
Williams allegedly informed Hughes, “I’m going to indicate you one thing,” then walked to her automobile. Witnesses reportedly locked Williams out as Hughes packed a few of his private belongings. As Hughes was on the point of depart, Williams reportedly shot him at shut vary.
She is presently being held on the Fairfield County Jail.
