Colombia and National Liberation Army extend bilateral ceasefire for six months

The Colombian authorities and the insurgent Nationwide Liberation Military (ELN) Tuesday agreed to increase their landmark truce for 180 days. The truce, known as the Bilateral, Nationwide and Non permanent Ceasefire, was beforehand prolonged by one week on January 30 2024, whereas both sides continued ongoing peace talks. Along with the extension, the peace course of is being financed by a number of donors.
