An Avenham man is about to look in court docket following an incident which noticed a gun fired in London Highway.

Daniel Hopkins, 42, of Guildford Highway, Avenham, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to trigger worry of violence.

Preston Police shut London Highway on Tuesday 27 February after a firearm was discharged shortly after 9am close to to the junction with Salmon Avenue.

A later police assertion confirmed they believed the gun was firing blanks.
Nobody was harm within the incident with the suspected gunman tackled to the bottom by two British Transport Law enforcement officials who occurred to be passing the scene because the gun was fired.
Hopkins will seem at Preston Crown Court docket on Monday 15 April.
