Woman dies in hospital after suffering serious injuries in M65 crash

A girl severely injured in a collision on the M65 has died.

Lancashire police had been referred to as shortly after 7pm on Wednesday (March 13) following a report of a collision between three automobiles on the eastbound carriageway between junctions two and three.

A Peugeot 208 overtook a Mercedes Atego HGV earlier than shedding management and colliding with the barrier. It then re-entered the carriageway and collided with quite a few automobiles.

The passenger of the Peugeot, a girl in her 30s, suffered critical accidents and was taken to hospital however she died from her accidents.

The driving force of the Peugeot, a person in his 40s, and a toddler passenger suffered much less critical accidents. The occupants of the opposite automobiles had been unhurt.

Sgt Phil Baxendale, of the Specialist Operations Highway Policing Unit, stated: “Very sadly this collision has now resulted in a girl shedding her life and I might proceed to attraction for any witnesses who haven’t but spoken to police, or anybody with dashcam footage, to return ahead and converse to us.”
